Getting There
By car
For those who prefer the flexibility of driving, traveling from Bangalore to Kannur by car is a great choice. The distance of around 310 kilometers can be covered in approximately 6-7 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. The route via NH275 and NH66 offers a scenic drive through the Western Ghats and coastal landscapes. Ensure to take breaks along the way at the numerous eateries and scenic spots to make the journey enjoyable and relaxing.
By train
Traveling from Bangalore to Kannur by train is a comfortable and scenic option. Direct trains like the Kannur Express (Train No. 16511) and the Karwar Express (Train No. 16513) connect Bangalore with Kannur, offering overnight journeys that allow you to arrive refreshed. The journey takes approximately 10-12 hours, depending on the train you choose. Once you arrive at Kannur Railway Station, local transportation such as taxis and auto-rickshaws are readily available to take you to your accommodation.
By Air
For a quick and convenient journey, flying from Bangalore to Kannur is an excellent option. Direct flights from Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) to Kannur International Airport (CNN) take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Several airlines operate daily flights on this route, making it easy to find a schedule that suits your travel plans.
